Paying homage to the classic, yet fresh, Restaurant Patois and its celebrated menu was indeed a tall order. The web presence is a delicate balance of the refinement and comfort found at this quaint neighborhood favorite. Among the site's features is the art+farm+friends photoblog — a slideshow of Chef Aaron Burgau's delicious finds at the local farmers' markets and a list of some of his favorite spots and people around town. This site came together with the help of Lorin Gaudin, New Orleans Food Goddess who managed the site content. We couldn't have had more fun working with Chef Aaron and the whole Patois crew. Visit PatoisNola.com.

The 2012 Hogs for the Cause extravaganza was even larger and hoggier than 2011! Scroll through to see work from both years. This New Orleans-based non-profit combating pediatric brain cancer raises thousands of dollars every year at their annual High on the Hog cook-off. These funds benefit support services for families affected by pediatric brain cancer. All design and brand representations were derived from the newly established brand vision: Hogs for the Cause
believes every child deserves a healthy, happy childhood. Jorge Menes generously donated his time and talent for
a photo shoot with the kids. Please visit hogsforthecause.org to get involved.

Thinka worked with everyone's favorite meat man, Henry Albert, to develop a rebrand for Rare Cuts, a high quality meat purveyor in New Orleans, Louisiana. A truly unique shop, Rare Cuts sources its product directly from small farms and ranches, as well as a couple of local wholesalers, and the meats on offer are generally only available in restaurants.

The quality of the product and the dedication of Henry and his team quickly became the heart + soul of the brand platform. The project was large in scope. Together, the team produced the brand elements, applied them to business cards, banners, in-store communications, and a new online market. The largest site in our portfolio to date, rarecuts.com was an exciting challenge. Henry's team included the skills of Mark Westguard, who programmed a site that includes e-commerce, a host of recipes, a "steak matrix" (it's awesome, try it), and plenty of great information. We also outfitted their twitter page @RareCuts! Explore the site at rarecuts.com or stop in at the flagship store on the corner Nashville + Magazine to enjoy the Rare Cuts experience.

The Ain't Nothin' but a Party! debutante invitation was as fun as it looks. It's easy to get inspired by the art of Frenchy and the music of New Orleans brass bands. The invitation is designed to emulate an old 45 record in order to carry through the theme.

Emmett's Fine Meats and Seafood is a homegrown butcher shop in New Orleans, LA. Thinka created an identity
based on Emmett's dedication to customer service and a quality product. For more on Emmett and his shop,

Menus imitating pizza boxes – a recipe for fun. These menus are screen printed on corrugated cardboard and are
sturdy enough to stand up to the day to day restaurant rush! We were tickled to death when they showed up on FPO's website — check it out!

One Hundred Black Men of Metro Baton Rouge, LTD. is a non-profit organization through which
African-American males step forward and assume roles of community leadership, responsibility
and guidance. Britton Stewart designed this informational brochure for the organization
while at Zehnder.

This experimental typography book is the entire screenplay of Manchurian
Candidate from 1964. The story is told through typography based on propaganda
and the playing cards that controlled the mind of the main character in the movie.

These brochures describe the benefits of being a part of the REI team, either
through employment or joining the CO-OP. Members are portrayed as
"super hero-esque" because they are good people that do extraordinary things
in their spare time (like snowboarding tricks!).
